Based in Sydney Australia, drummer / educator James Waples has been forging his own path as a cymbalsmith under the branding PUG Cymbals since 2019. As an active musician he has performed and toured with Australian / international jazz greats for the past 20 years. James currently divides his time between PUG Cymbals and as the drummer for indie artist Donny Benét.

 

PUG Cymbals is focused on creating unique cymbals influenced by the great companies / independent cymbalsmiths of the past as well as exploring contemporary sounds for the future.
